Connie Beaulieu


Connie Beaulieu is a multi-award-winning Health and Fitness Professional - having been named one of IMPACT Magazine’s Top Trainers in Canada. She is an authentic & accomplished Personal Trainer, Educator and Entrepreneur who finds purpose in mentoring others.

For over 25 years, Connie has influenced thousands of lives through her personal training, coaching and fitness education career. Connie owns and operates S.W.E.A.T® Inc. in Ottawa, ON, where she specializes in Personal and Small Group Training, Online Virtual Training, Outdoor Boot Camp, Corporate Fitness Training, and Professional Consulting and Mentoring. She has taught Fitness and Lifestyle Management for the Police Foundations Program and the Canadian Armed Forces at Algonquin College, certified hundreds of Fitness Professionals as a veteran PRO Trainer with canfitpro, and is the founder of ACTIVATE Academy.

Sarah Zahab


Sarah Zahab is a Registered Kinesiologist, Clinical Exercise Physiologist, group fitness instructor and award-winning fitness presenter. Sarah has over 23 years of full-time fitness industry experience. Sarah holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Kinetics (minor in Biology) from the University of Ottawa and graduated with honours (magna cum laude).

Sarah is the owner of Continuum Fitness and Movement Performance, Inc., a multidisciplinary clinic in Ottawa offering Kinesiology, Physiotherapy, Registered Massage Therapy and Athletic Therapy services. Sarah specializes in bridging the gap between rehab and return to sports activities, focusing on correcting muscle imbalances perfecting alignment, and movement patterns and optimizing kinesthetic awareness. Sarah’s goal is to determine the root cause of injury, and movement patterns and take a holistic approach to correcting imbalances.

Sarah regularly presents at fitness conferences in Canada and abroad and was recently awarded the canfitpro Delegates Choice Canadian Fitness Presenter of the Year award in 2023.

Sarah is a former international fitness competitor and was fortunate to represent Canada at the Ms. Fitness World competition four times. She is a nationally ranked Race Walker and regular fitness expert on CTV Morning Live.

Sarah is the creator of the Prenatal and Postnatal Strength Workout DVDs, created in 2008/2009 to help women remain strong throughout pregnancy, postpartum and beyond. Sarah is a 46-year-old proud mom of 2 and adores spending time with her family and helping women move forward along their health continuum.

What is the purpose of this certification course?


What is the duration of the certification course?

Who is eligible to enroll in the certification course?


All health and fitness professionals looking to enrich and enhance the lives of their female clients. Prerequisite: an existing health/fitness certification (i.e. Personal Trainer, Group Exercise Instructor, Kinesiologist, Massage Therapist, Strength Coach, etc) OR equivalent education in health sciences and fitness is beneficial (College, University). All genders welcome, of course!

Be sure to add the Certification Quiz if you would like to obtain the Certificate. If you are not looking to obtain a Certificate, you are welcome to simply enroll in the course for learning objective only.


How do I enroll in the certification course?

Our live workshop is 9 hours in length (including breaks and lunch). This course does have online learning material that must be completed prior to the workshop. While we will review all of the modules in person, much of the theory is in the online portal. This is a self-paced study format. We recommend allotting approximately 15-20 hours of self-study.

It is both! The online portal provides a self-paced digital learning opportunity to prepare you for your live in-person workshop, provided by Connie Beaulieu & Sarah Zahab


Is the certification course self-paced or instructor-led?

Yes, the live workshop is mandatory for your learning. We cover much of the practical aspects in person and we currently do not offer via zoom. If you are not able to attend your selected live workshop, you may request approval to be transferred to another live course at a later date.

Do I have to attend the live workshop and/or can I attend via zoom?


All course materials will be provided digitally. We are using an online learning portal that will provide playbooks (PDF e-books) that you may read, videos you can watch, downloadable worksheets and module summaries to print. We are a paperless program.

What materials/resources will be provided during the course?


There will be a 30-question ONLINE quiz at the end of the course (True/False, Multiple Choice and Short Answer). You may challenge this quiz as many times as required. You must achieve a 70% in order to receive your course certificate.

How is the certification course assessed?


The online quiz is available for 6 months following your live workshop. You may take it as many times as required.

What happens if I fail an assessment? Can I retake it?


Our online portal has an internal chat, where you may connect with the course instructors & support staff. Our live in-person workshop will provide direct mentorship and the opportunity to have your questions answered live. If you have special learning considerations, we welcome you to discuss this with us.

What support is available for participants during the course?

Are there any networking opportunities or forums for participants?


This certification does not expire. We request that you remain in good professional standing, including valid operating insurance.

What is the validity period of the certification?


This course has been pre-approved for 4CECs from canfitpro. You may submit your certificate of completion to other organizations to petition credits.

Does this course have any pre-approved CECs?


There are no refunds provided once the online portal has been accessed. You may defer your live course to another date if the one you are registered for is no longer suitable.
